Summary File 1 (SF 1)
This file presents selected population and housing characteristics collected from all people and housing units. Information available includes population by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin; number and types of households; and whether the residences lived in are owned or rented. Geographic coverage goes down to the block level for many SF 1 data tabulations, but only down to the census tract for others. Scheduled to be released on a state-by-state flow basis in summer 2001.

Summary File 3 (SF 3)
This will be the first release of data collected from the sample or long-form questionnaire. Among the socio-economic characteristics are marital status, ancestry, migration, educational attainment, disability, labor force status, journey to work, income, poverty, home value, monthly rent, vehicles available, and year residential structure built. Geographic coverage will be down to the block group for many SF 3 tables, but only down to the census tract for others."
