CLEAR GISThis is a featured page

Summary
From their website, "The Chicago Police Department developed CLEARmap to provide residents of the City of Chicago with a tool to assist them in problem-solving and combating crime and disorder in their neighborhoods. It is based upon the CLEAR (Citizen Law Enforcement Analysis and Reporting) system developed by the Department for use by its police officers."

The CPD does not make raw data files of the crime data contained in the CLEAR database available to the public. Rather, it provides a searchable online database with mapping capabilities (CLEARmap).
